There are many symptoms of depression, but common signs include:
  • Sadness or hopelessness
  • Irritability, anger, or hostility
  • Tearfulness or frequent crying
  • Withdrawal from friends or family
  • Loss of interest in activities
  • Changes in eating and sleeping habits 
  • Restlessness or agitation
  • Feelings of worthlessness or guilt
  • Lack of enthusiasm and motivation
  • Fatigue or lack of energy
  • A drop in grade or academic performance
  • Thoughts of death or suicide
